CHILDREN'S RIGHTS MUST BE RESPECTED DURING ARMED CONFLICTS ?

The Rights of the Child are economic, social and cultural rights, such as the right to education, the right to a decent quality of life, the right to health, etc. Are these rights fulfilled during a war? In my opinion, they are not fulfilled since we have all seen a photo of these children at some time.

Nowadays, 20 million children are displaced because of such conflicts. In the last ten years, more than two million children have died as a result of conflict and more than three times that number have been permanently disabled or seriously injured. Approximately 28 million are not receiving an education due to armed conflict. These children who live in conflict-affected countries have lost their homes, their families, their friends, their security and their sense of normality. Now, without being able to learn to read and write, they run the risk of losing their future.

To sum up, I think that while this is happening, the rest of us are not doing anything to improve the situation. What would happen if we were the country at war? I strongly believe that the safety of the children must be guaranteed whatever the situation.
